This is Helix, and he flies a Mac.
Notice the steely-eyed concentration, the firm, confident grip on the joystick. He's
thinking about shooting you down, and he probably will too.
Notice too the Cap'n Crunch cereal box within easy reach. Could this be his secret?
Helix is also a WarBirds trainer (=helx=), and is without a
doubt one of the most talented fighter pilots in WarBirds. Helix is famous in WarBirds
circles (along with Phenix) for
providing, and updating, modifications to the special effects in WarBirds. These are not
only a vast improvement upon the stock effects, they also give you slightly better
framerates. I don't know anyone not using one or the other, or combinations of both.

to download Helix's effects - just unzip them to the Effects directory inside your
WarBirds installation, and you're good to go. You can load these effects using the Effects
button on the Miscellaneous tab under Settings in WarBirds.
